Jaguar XJ220

There were only ever 281 models produced of the Jaguar XJ220 between the years 1991 and 1994. There were only ever 281 models produced of the Jaguar XJ220 between the years 1991 and 1994. Until the arrival of the McLaren F1 in 1994 the Jaguar XJ220 held the record for the highest top speed of a production car (350 km/h, 217 mph). The car was intended to be able to reach the target top speed of 220 mph, hence the name. As the used Jaguar crowd at the time were highly keen on playing with numbers, it was announced from the start that initial production was to be limited to 220 units and that total production would never exceed 350 cars. This led to the inevitable fact that many of those who put down deposits on the cars like used Jaguar were speculators who intended to sell the car at an immediate profit. Due to the great effort put into the performance of the used Jaguar XJ220 it is a deceptively fast car. Acceleration of a used Jaguar is phenomenal and the driver can easily find himself driving at exceedingly high speeds if he is not careful. Owners agree in unison that the used Jaguar XJ220 is one of the most beautiful and artistically most perfect cars ever built. Leaving this car in any garage is a highly demanding task for any motorist as the exceptional beauty of the used Jaguar XJ220 can leave the driver spellbound.
